Ubuntu Centre Grand Opening

The Ubuntu Centre, which won the Progressive Architecture Honor Award in 2009, opened on September 16 to a crowd of enthused community members, international supporters and local officials. Jazz legend Hugh Masekela’s horn echoed through the halls of the Centre, drifting from the theatre to the clinic and the furthest reaches of the education wing.

A special report on the success of The Ubuntu Centre, was highlighted during Bill Clinton’s interview with Wolf Blitzer on CNN last night, September 21. CGI, under the guidance of Bill Clinton, chose Ubuntu as a poster child for successful commitments.
