The “tide wall” at Big Sur is a headboard comp The “tide wall” at Big Sur is a headboard comprised of 52 walnut slats, each shaped by the undulations of one week’s tides from the Pacific Ocean below. Carving the organic ebbs and flows of the tides into the wood reveals the unique grain of each piece. The cliffs at Big Sur provide an endless source of inspiration, from dramatically angled forms to layered patterns of rock.
