The 24th Sophia Gray Memorial Exhibition and Lecture, will be presented this year by Stan Field. Stan’s exhibition and lecture, titled, “For the Love of Architecture”, will trace 40 years of practice, starting with his first commission for the Miller House on the boulders at Khyber Rock outside Johannesburg, and continuing with his career’s development across three continents.

The exhibition, to be presented by the Department of Architecture at the University of the Free State, will showcase photographs and drawings of the work, and a lineage of sketches through which Stan’s veneration of site is explored and inspiration and insight gained.
